Residents in Ferguslie Park are being asked to be vigilant after a spate of vandalism in the area.

Over the past few months a number of vehicles have become the target of vandalism within the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley.

Damage has been caused whilst vehicles have moving mainly travelling along Blackstoun Road and Ferguslie Park Avenue.

Local community police officers have spoken to a group of youths known to frequent this area and have attended various addresses and spoken to youths in the presence of their parents and guardians with a view to educating them on the disruption and impact that anti-social behaviour can have on the local community.

PC Gillespie from the community team have asked all residents to be vigilant of groups hanging about or acting suspiciously within the area to call police immediately. He said: “Should any further incidents occur I would encourage members of the community to telephone 101 or anonymously on crime stoppers telephone number 0800555111.”
