I am writing to you about a possible news article.
Wallace Primary School, Elderslie have a growing mixed football team who at the start of the year were struggling with a lack of equipment and football strips which was really demotivating the team.
The Wallace Parent Council Grant’s Team took the action to source available funding. This resulted in the community getting behind the team. We secured a Nisa Make a Difference Locally grant which allowed the team to purchase new equipment. We then approached local business owner Stuart Easton who kindly agreed to sponsor the team and purchased new strips. One of the parents also applied for an Arnold Clark fund which we won and used to purchase kits for the girls team.
The team are now ending the year on a high fully kitted out. We could not have done this without the support of the local community businesses.
