A new Sky TV drama series is set to film scenes in Paisley next month, with Coats Church, UWS Paisley and Church Hill all being used as locations.

Residents living near the filming sites have received notification letters from production company Meantime Productions Limited ahead of filming beginning in June.

The six-part drama series, titled Meantime, is due to film across several dates between Sunday 31st May and Sunday 21st June 2026.

According to the notice, some scenes at Coats Church could involve up to 80 crew members and around 100 background artists.

Filming is planned at UWS Paisley on Monday 1st June and Tuesday 2nd June. Scenes are also due to be filmed at Church Hill on Monday 1st June.

Coats Church will be used on multiple dates throughout June for both exterior and interior filming.

The production company said overnight filming is planned at Coats Church on Monday 1st June, with filming expected to take place between around 8pm and 2am.

Residents were told lighting equipment and cherry picker platforms would be used to light the front of the church during the night shoot.

Temporary road closures and parking suspensions are also planned around High Street and Wellmeadow Street while filming takes place.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, although members of the public may occasionally be asked to wait briefly while filming is underway.

Maps issued alongside the notification appear to show Coats Church being used as a castle setting during filming.

The production company said it would work to minimise disruption and thanked residents for their patience and cooperation.
