A new housing development in Howwood has been shortlisted for a national award recognising design and sustainability.
CedarView, a development by Briar Homes, has been named on the shortlist for Private Development of the Year (Small) at the 2026 Homes for Scotland Awards.
The development features 10 four-bedroom detached villas, each with integral garages and private gardens. The homes offer around 1,500 square feet of living space and include two en-suite bathrooms.
Located in the village of Howwood, the development is within reach of local bus services and a train station, with links to Paisley, Glasgow and Ayrshire. It also has access to the M8 motorway.
The homes have been designed with energy efficiency in mind, with an EPC rating of B. Features include solar panels, high insulation, dual zone heating and high efficiency gas boilers.
Paul Kelly, Managing Director at Briar Homes Ltd, said: “It’s rewarding to see the hard work of everyone involved in CedarView from planners and architects to builders, sales representatives, and interior designers being recognised by Homes for Scotland. This nomination underscores Briar Homes’ strengths as an independent housebuilder, delivering high-quality developments tailored to local homebuyers’ needs.”
The Homes for Scotland Awards recognise developments across the country, with winners due to be announced on Friday 15th May.
