Wendy’s is set to open a new restaurant on Linwood Road at the Phoenix Retail Park unit previously occupied by Tim Hortons, which closed suddenly last month.
The American fast-food chain will officially open on Friday, 19th December, bringing another well-known brand to the busy retail park.
Wendy’s is best known for its signature square beef patties. The menu also features baked potatoes, chilli and a variety of chicken sandwiches, offering an alternative to more traditional fast-food outlets already operating in the area Like McDonalds, Burger King and KFC.
Confirming the opening on social media, Wendy’s teased local customers by saying: “Linwood, square era is approaching. Get ready.”
The restaurant will operate extended opening hours throughout the week. It will be open from 8:00am until midnight from Monday to Saturday, with a slightly earlier closing time of 11:00pm on Sundays.
