Bus services across Renfrewshire will run to revised timetables for the May Day bank holiday on Monday 4th May 2026, with changes affecting McGill’s, local shuttle services, First Bus and Stagecoach routes.
McGill’s has confirmed that most services will operate a Sunday timetable. Services 307 and 307A will run to a Saturday timetable.
Routes running a Sunday service include 3, 7, 7A, 20A, 23, 23D, 23P, 26, 26A, 38, 49, 51, 51A, 59, 61, 64, 66, 81B, 153, 164, 166, 757, 904, X6A, X6B and M7.
A number of McGill’s services will not run at all on the day. These include 1A, 1B, 6, 10, 14, 17, 17A, 20, 23A, 30, 31, 32, 38A, 70, 81, 81A, 124, 364, 521, 521A, 521H, X21, X23 and XP21.
Shuttle bus services will also be affected. There will be no service on route 9, which connects Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir and Johnstone. Other shuttle routes, including service 1 (Johnstone Castle to Johnstone Centre) and service 5 (Spateston to Johnstone Centre), are expected to operate.
First Bus service 9 and 9A, which run between Paisley, Cardonald, Ibrox and Glasgow city centre, will operate to a Sunday timetable.
Stagecoach services are also impacted. The X36 between Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow and Ardrossan, which stops in Howwood, will operate to a Sunday timetable.
Passengers are being advised to check their specific service before travelling and allow extra time for journeys.
