McDonald’s in Linwood has reopened following a major refurbishment of its restaurant and kitchen.
The restaurant welcomed customers back on Thursday 4th June after closing for several weeks while work was carried out.
Inside, the restaurant has been completely redesigned with a more modern layout. The refreshed dining area features a larger number of two-person tables, alongside several larger tables for families and groups.
A dedicated wireless charging table has also been added, allowing customers to charge their devices while they eat. Several smaller tables are fitted with tablets for children and families to use during their visit.
The refurbishment has also included improvements to the kitchen area used by staff.
One area that remains unfinished is the play area. The previous equipment has been removed and the space currently sits empty behind glass partitions.
Staff told Renfrewshire News they hope a new play area will be installed in time for the school summer holidays.
The reopening was marked with red and yellow balloons outside the restaurant, while face painters were on hand to welcome customers back.
The refurbishment follows a phased closure which began in May. The restaurant first closed its sit-in area before operating as a Drive Thru and McDelivery service only. It then closed completely from Wednesday 21st May to allow work to be completed.
