The SNP has held all three Renfrewshire constituency seats in the 2026 Scottish Parliament election as counting continues at Braehead Arena.

George Adam was first to be declared after retaining Paisley for the SNP with 13,164 votes.

Labour’s Neil Bibby finished second on 10,136 votes, while Reform UK’s Alec Leishman secured third place with 4,620 votes.

Michelle Campbell was then elected as the first MSP for the new Renfrewshire North and Cardonald constituency.

The SNP candidate secured 14,300 votes ahead of Labour’s Mike McKirdy on 9,424, with Reform UK’s Moira Ramage third on 7,083 votes.

Tom Arthur later completed a clean sweep for the SNP in Renfrewshire after holding Renfrewshire West and Levern Valley.

He secured 13,819 votes, ahead of Labour’s Paul O’Kane on 10,548 votes and Reform UK’s Jamie McGuire on 5,844 votes.

Turnout across the three constituencies ranged from 50.5% in Paisley to 54.1% in Renfrewshire West and Levern Valley.

While the constituency contests have now concluded, counting is continuing for the West Scotland regional list vote.

The regional list result is now expected at around 7.15pm.

The West Scotland region elects seven additional MSPs using a proportional representation system, with seats allocated based on both the regional vote and the number of constituency seats already won by each party.
